If these photographs have a mission, it’s to communicate the shared experience, and common values, that all Minnesotan's have when we attend country fairs, the State Fair, and small-town parades and festivals. My goal is always to accept the people I photograph for who they are, and respect them for their uniqueness. I am 84 years old, and have been making these “Minnesota” photographs for the last five years. It’s been a joyful, and meaningful journey.
