I have been a studio potter and I have made sculpture and handmade paper. Many aspects from these different techniques are often incorporated into my photography. I have enjoyed the sensuality of both the clay and handmade paper in my hands. As a result, I strive to bring a feeling of sensuality and sense of mystery to my images. I also like seeing how three dimensional and relief shapes exist in space as well as how the shadows and highlights play upon the image. These attributes of light and shadows and how they are perceived have also become an integral part of my photography.
