I first picked up a “real” camera in 2016, when asked to get some shots for a story on a demonstration that I was writing for the Northeaster newspaper.  A lifetime of paying attention suddenly had an artistic outlet; I learned how powerful the visual can be in evoking emotions and making connections. I just wish I had another lifetime to further explore this medium.
My photographic interests range from insect macrophotography to urban landscapes, from photojournalism to crowtography. In recent years I've focused on urban wildlife photography. I see it as a form of street photography: candids of creatures living their lives much as we live ours, in spaces that are just as much theirs as ours.
When you view my photos, I hope you'll imagine yourself at my side while I was framing them. Thank you for your company!
