I received my BFA in Photography from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and my MFA from Rochester Institute of Technology in New York. Along the way I have worked at camera stores in Milwaukee and here in Minneapolis at National Camera Exchange. I found a passion for teaching while in graduate school. Since moving to the twin cities, I cofounded CollabArts a collaborative artist residency program. I worked to build up the local photography community at Praxis Gallery Photo Arts Center in Minneapolis where I worked for 5 years as the Project Director.  Currently I am teaching individual lessons and workshops on photography and editing. I also help artists create photo books doing layout design and production work. My photographic art is representative of my personal history, I use both film, digital and installation art to reflect the subtleties of the relationships photographed.
